Visit Shropshire Hills AGM

Our AGM took place on Thursday 14th November at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. It was great to enjoy some long-overdue face-to-face networking time.

Thank you to those of you who were able to come along and for your contributions in the meeting and since. As always a big thank you to the Discovery Centre team for hosting us once again and for providing the refreshments.

If you would like to read the minutes of the meeting, they are in the Members’ Area on our website here: https://www.visitshropshirehills.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/AGM-2024-Minutes.pdf

VSH to sponsor the Shropshire Hills National Landscape’s Shuttle Bus in 2025

We’re really excited to tell you that next year we will be sponsoring the Shropshire Hills Shuttle Bus with a donation of £500.

This will fund an additional weekend of running the bus and supports the National Landscape’s Regenerative Tourism strategy by encouraging people to leave their car in one location, or to use public transport to join up with the shuttle bus.

We’ll tell you more about this in the new year.

Telford and Shropshire join forces in new Local Visitor Economy Partnership

Telford & Wrekin Council and Shropshire Council, in partnership with Visit Telford and Visit Shropshire, are proud to announce that they have been awarded national accreditation from VisitEngland with approval to form a Telford and Shropshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP).

Over the coming months, the Telford and Shropshire LVEP will work with stakeholders to develop the joint Growth Framework and prepare for recruitment of a new Telford and Shropshire Tourism Board in 2025, which will include leaders from across tourism, hospitality, culture and emerging sectors such as film, innovation and events.
