Shropshire Hills & Ludlow

Join Us for the Visit Shropshire Hills AGM

at The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
or remotely via Teams
on

Thursday 14th November at 14:00

At the Discovery Centre there will be refreshments served from 13:30 before the meeting.

It’s your chance to connect with fellow local businesses and community members passionate about promoting the stunning Shropshire Hills region.

During the AGM, we will discuss our 2024 achievements and plans for 2025. As always, your input and ideas are valuable in shaping the work we do.

Nigel McDonald from the Shropshire Hills National Landscape will update us on the recent changes to the local visitor economy structure in the Shropshire Hills and across the county.

This is an excellent opportunity to network, collaborate, and be part of a vibrant community dedicated to preserving and showcasing the wonders of Shropshire Hills.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Visit Shropshire Hills AGM!

Access Reviews with AccessAble
AccessAble will organise with you a mutual convenient time to have a review of your premises and services and then complete an Access Guide which will be available on the AccessAble website.

There are limited places for small/medium sized businesses to have this review, which is being funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and must be completed by the beginning of March 2025.

The criteria for inclusion are:
  1. Must be within the Shropshire Council local authority postcode area
  2. Must be a business within the Visitor Economy sector
  3. Must not have received more than £315,000 in Grants from previous funding.

The AccessAble support includes training which is online that takes approx. 2.5 hours and helps you to understand the needs of those with access issues as well as understanding what you may already offer.  There is also training on how to market your venue to those with access issues.
