Two delightful, well appointed cottages in beautiful South Shropshire. Exceptionally peaceful and tranquil, wonderful walking and stunning views.
If you are looking for a relaxed and friendly rural retreat – somewhere you can take a deep breath and unwind after a day out exploring this beautiful county – then Hope Park Farm is the place for you.
Adjacent to our farmhouse home, both cottages retain many original features and are bursting with character – wood burning stoves, beamed ceilings, natural slate floors and exposed stone walls downstairs, while upstairs all rooms have wooden floors. They provide spacious, well equipped and tasteful accommodation with a real homely feel where your comfort is our number one priority. Both cottages have free WiFi.
Facing south, the cottages enjoy stunning views over beautiful gardens towards the hills and valleys of Shropshire and Wales. Tucked away from the road and surrounded by fields they offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During the summer months we often have the most spectacular sunsets as late as 10pm in the evening and with some of the clearest night skies in England it is possible to get the most glorious views of the Milky Way.
The location is perfect for touring Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. The delightful towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, while nearby attractions include Powys Castle, Stokesay Castle, Acton Scot Historic Farm (as seen on TVs ‘Victorian Farm’) and the Severn Valley Railway. The museums of Ironbridge and the historic towns of Clun, Bishops Castle and Montgomery are also within easy travelling distance.
Ideally situated for walking it is possible to forget the car and walk from our garden to take in views from nearby Iron Age hill forts and stone circles and tread in the footsteps of ancient drovers. Not far away popular hills such as the Stiperstones and the Long Mynd have some glorious unspoilt walking and long distance paths in the area include Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail, the Shropshire Way, the Kerry Ridgeway and the Jack Mytton Way.
We warmly invite you to come and sample the hospitality and friendliness of this relatively undiscovered, but stunningly beautiful part of Britain, and to stay with us at Hope Park Farm, whatever your interests and at any season of the year. This is truly an all-year-round holiday place.
