Situated at the heart of the ancient market town of Ludlow, there are excellent craft and antique shops and a wealth of historic buildings, all within easy walking distance. Being so central, The Feathers Hotel has been for centuries an important meeting point for the local community and visitors enjoy its lively atmosphere particularly during the annual arts-dedicated Ludlow Festival, which takes place during the last week of June and the first week of July.
Accommodation
The Feathers Hotel has forty bedrooms including five luxury rooms, one with a jacuzzi bath, four four-poster rooms and two family rooms. All rooms are en-suite with both bath and shower, colour television with pay-per-view movie channels, hospitality tray and direct dial telephones.

Food at the Feathers
The Feathers’ much acclaimed Housman Restaurant enjoys a reputation for offering traditional and innovative, contemporary cooking using fresh, local produce. Comus Bar
The hotel’s Comus Bar and lounges are open from mid-morning for tea, coffee and light meals. In the afternoon, guests and visitors can relax and enjoy a quintessentially British cream tea, with home-made cakes and scones. In the evening the Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail before dinner in the Housman Restaurant.
Functions and Weddings
The Feathers is an ideal venue for conferences, presentations, weddings, and other important functions. Being so renowned and centrally located, the hotel is an easy meeting place and offers the facilities required to support such occasions. For pure atmosphere, guests can relax in the magnificent James I lounge with its historic wooden over mantle and fine plaster ceiling.
Location
Situated on the River Teme in the county of Shropshire ,Ludlow is on the A49 between Shrewsbury and Hereford. It is linked to the M5/M6 by the A456 through Kidderminster. Ludlow has fast and direct trains from Cardiff, Crewe, Hereford, Liverpool, London (via Newport), Manchester, North Wales and Shrewsbury.
Guests are advised that whilst there is a car park at The Feathers Hotel, spaces are limited. However, parking is easily available in town.
