Goosefoot Bam is nestled in a secluded valley in the picturesque Corvedale in the heart of the South Shropshire countryside. We are located between the historic market towns of Ludlow (8 miles) and Much Wenlock (12 miles). The four cottages are set around an attractively planted courtyard which also incorporates our family home.
At Goosefoot our aim is for our guests to be able to relax as soon as they arrive and so we provide those little extras which we hope will make your stay that little bit special.
On arrival you will find a home baked cake, fresh flowers, milk, tea and coffee. The bedrooms and bathrooms will have clean linen and towels and the kitchen will be stocked with dishwasher tablets, tea cloths and tea towel.
Each cottage is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. All kitchens have cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher and each cottage has TV/video and stereo CD/radio.
For those occasional less sunny days we have a Games Room with full sized Snooker Table, Darts, Table Football, Tourist Information, books and videos to borrow.
We know have a BBQ cabin available for all year round BBQ’s.
There are four cottages to choose from:
Pinstones – Sleeps 4/6 all on one level. The cottage comprises king-size bedroom with ensuite shower room, twin room, family bathroom, kitchen/diner, lounge with double sofabed and woodburning stove. Private enclosed garden. Pets welcome by prior arrangement at no extra charge.
Diddlebury – Sleeps 4. This cottage has a king-size bedroom with ensuite bathroom and twin with ensuite shower room. Downstairs comprises lounge and kitchen/diner. Seating area. Pets welcome by prior arrangement at no extra charge.
Corfton – Sleeps 4. This upside down cottage has a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and twin with ensuite bathroom, all of which are downstairs. Upstairs are a kitchen/diner and lounge affording great views. Garden (not enclosed). No pets.
Munslow – Sleeps 2 (either as double or twin). All on one level with disabled access (M2). Lounge with fire, kitchen/diner. Wet Room. Patio. Pets welcome by prior arrangement.
All cottages have Full Central Heating (no extra charge); TV/Video; Stereo radio/CD; own garden/seating area.
There is also a Laundry Room with Washing Machine and Tumble Drier.
South Shropshire is fantastic walking and cycling country and you can easily start your day’s exercise from your doorstep at Goosefoot. We have maps and guide books that you are welcome to borrow during your stay. Whether you are walking, cycling or driving, the area has some truly superb and extremely diverse scenery from the renowned Shropshire Hills and the bleaker terrain of Clee Hill to the lush riverside meadovvs by the Teme or the Sevem. The small market towns of Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Craven Arms, Bridgnorth and Bishops Castle also have much to offer to the shopper and the architectural or historical buff!
Ludlow in particular is worth a day to itself. Notwithstanding the impressive St Laurences Parish Church (deemed one of the 20 best in England), within an area which is becoming increasingly renowned for its food, this small town (pop 12000) stands out. There are four independent butchers and other food and drink is well represented, particularly on market days. There are restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, including two with Michelin stars.
In September of each year, in the grounds of Ludlow Castle the Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Fair which celebrates the best of food and drink with an emphasis on local produce. The Castle also hosts the Ludlow Festival with Shakespeare Plays, Classical and Pop music, Comedians, Writers and the Grand Firework Finale.
Other local attractions include Ironbridge, Secret Hills, Acton Scott, Sevem Valley Railway, Stokesay Castle, Land of Lost Content Museum, Mickey Millers Playbam.

On entering Diddlebury on B4368 from Much Wenlock or Bridgnorth, take the second road on the right, signposted ‘Pinstones’. (first on left from Ludlow or Craven Arms). One mile up this no through road, you enter a farmyard. Continue straight through the farmyard and take the left of two gates, dropping down into the valley. We are a quarter of a mile down this track, signposted ‘Goosefoot.
