The most relaxing base to explore the Long Mynd, stay in our superbly equipped Shropshire holiday cottage, which combines a great location, stunning views, and premium facilities without losing any of the cosiness and comfort of a home.
Furnished and equipped to a high standard, this spacious accommodation can sleep seven people in the main bedrooms (plus an additional double sofa bed in the living room and 2 additional pull out beds for occasional guests and children).
The house is perched on the edge of Cardingmill Valley with stunning views and is literally 25 footsteps to the Long Mynd National Trust area. Walk left out of the drive and in a few minutes you are in a bustling historic market town, turn right and within one minute you’re breathing in the glory of Cardingmill Valley.
The house is perfect for walkers and cyclists wishing to explore the beautiful hills on our doorstep, and is also ideally set up for families wanting a countryside break.
Fitted out to 5 star standards but with an emphasis on comfort – we want you to kick off your muddy boots, curl up by the fire or raise a glass on the terrace and RELAX.
No more holidays with rubbish knives and inadequate towels! We’ve thought of everything so you can explore the countryside, then come home and chill out or entertain.

The Holt is actually the last house on the right on Burway Road, at the top of the hill before the cattle grid to the Mynd. It is literally 25 steps from the hills and Cardingmill Valley.
The nearest bus stop is from the 435 bus (Shrewsbury to Ludlow) on Beaumont Road. The train station is off Central Avenue. Both are approximately 0.5 miles away and would take an average walker around ten minutes walking down the hill from the house, but obviously a little longer going back to the house up the hill. If you wish to arrive by public transport, do let us know and we may be able to organise collecting you, or point you to an appropriate taxi company.
