Red Kite Cottage offers a choice of dog friendly self-catering or bed and breakfast. It’s on Route 4 of the Church Stretton circular walks and on Ippikins Way with the footpath literally from the door.
From the farm you have views of Caer Caradoc, the Lawley and Wilstone Hill and paths leading to Hope Bowdler Hill. An ideal choice for those who love the peace of the countryside but central for Shropshire’s many attractions.
The stone cottage was built in 2010 with gorgeous views of the hills and valley — an ideal option if you want peace and quiet and away-from-it-all privacy — especially at times such as Christmas and New Year.
There is a king size bed plus a sofa bed making it useful for families, with a good size TV.
The kitchen has a full cooker and microwave plus fridge, kettle, toaster etc. The bathroom has a large bath with shower over.
A private terrace facing Caer Caradoc catches the sun through much of the day and into the evening — relax with a glass of wine and take in the views.
The terrace is enclosed so is useful for guests who bring their dogs, or other pets. We regularly have a pair of tortoises who come to stay — older than their owners.
Parking is immediately adjacent to the cottage with walks starting from the lane outside.
The cottage is available for bed and breakfast or self-catering by the week, or for short breaks from three days. Self-catering guests have the option of breakfast if they wish.

From A49 south turn right at the traffic lights in Church Stretton and take the Much Wenlock road, the B4371. Past Hope Bowdler look for a left hand turning marked Cardington and Stoneacton.
Follow the road past Stoneacton and down a fairly steep hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left, it is marked Cardington Moor and is a No Through Road. If you get into the village on this road you have gone too far.
We are up there about one mile. It becomes a concrete road and we are at the top of the hill on the left. If you go round the corner you have passed us!
