Created from our dream of converting a series of old redundant farm buildings, Bryncalled Barns offers one delightful Grade II listed self catering barn accommodation full of character and tradition with all the comforts of home. The barn as plenty of room for parking at the rear and is situated close at hand to the owner’s barn giving you the opportunity to seek information about the area if and when required. The property has been renovated to a very high standard and retain a wealth of original timbers including beams and trusses and exposed stonework, to keep a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Bryncalled Barns is situated approximately 2 miles from the rustic village of Bucknell, with its village pub, Post office, traditional Butchers and Petrol Station. The Heart of Wales railway line also passes through Bucknell with destinations such as Church Stretton, known as “Little Switzerland” and the medieval town of Shrewsbury. For those interested in walking, the railway also offers a one day ‘rover’ allowing you to get on and off the train as it rambles its way through the Welsh valleys, the “Sugar Loaf” in the Black Mountains and finally Swansea.
Nearby is the welsh market town of Knighton, which is home to the Offa’s Dyke Heritage Centre, long distance path and the Space Guard Centre for space enthusiasts. Ludlow has a harmonious mix of architecture and its 11th century castle provides the perfect backdrop to its famous Michelin star restaurants, food fairs and various festivals. The quaint village of Clun is very picturesque with its unspoilt country setting, with its hill top castle ruins and river flowing through the valley. Also of interest is a visit to Acton Scott working farm as featured in the recent BBC2 television series ‘Victorian Farm’.

To keep up our excellent standards we are sorry No Pets and No Smoking are allowed in the properties but smoking in the garden is permitted.

From Bucknell head towards Chapel Lawn. Continue on this road through the village passing the school on the left . Follow this road through the village. After leaving the village, travel approximately 1.5 miles and look for orange neighborhood disc on left and green Bryncalled Barns sign, turn right into lane adjacent to sign. Follow to top. Barns are situated behind house on left. Turn into courtyard.
Please Note: Postcode SY7 0BN may end at Little Bryncalid on right after entering the lane. Please carry on until you see Bryncalled Barns behind cream house at the top on left . Drive in where you will see The Granary straight in font of you.
