Are you looking for an affordable day out? Why not take advantage of our Free Coffee Concerts in the morning and visit the Art Exhibition for only £1.00 in the afternoon?
The Coffee Concerts take place in St Laurence’s Church, Church Stretton at 10.15 every morning from Monday 25th till Saturday 30 July. Berry’s Coffee House will provide tea, coffee and home-made biscuits after all concerts, with proceeds going to the Mayfair Community Centre.
After a concert, visit the Festival Art, Crafts and Photography Exhibition at St Lawrence’s CE Primary School. The Exhibition is open every day of the week from Tuesday 26th July till Saturday 6th August. Nearly 750 items by 143 artists will be on display throughout the school and these will include paintings, pottery, jewelry, fabrics, photographs, prints, greetings cards and lots more. Refreshments are available and you can usually snap up a bargain for a gift or a treat for yourself!
Monday brings a double bass recital by Patrick Phillip. On Tuesday we will be entertained by Rosa Bonnin on viola. Classical guitar music will be performed by Frederick Lawton on Wednesday while Thursday’s delight will be piano duets played by Gill Styles and Richard Walker. On Friday be prepared to be blown away by music for large wind ensemble when 13 of our talented local wind players get together and on Saturday, Branded Rogues will present their mix of genres from baroque to jazz, folk to pop… with a few songs thrown in.
