Explore the Shropshire Hills using our weekend Shuttle service. The buses start in Church Stretton and travel over the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones. Together these ‘hills’ make up the largest area of heathland in the Shropshire Hills. The National Trust looks after much of the Long Mynd, while the most wildlife-rich and geologically dramatic area of the Stiperstones is managed as a National Nature Reserve by Natural England.
The Long Mynd and Stiperstones areas are wonderful walking country. The views from the high points are panoramic, sweeping from Snowdonia to the Brecon Beacons west and from the Malverns to the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge east. Carding Mill Valley gets very busy at peak times and it’s difficult to park. We recommend catching the train or bus to Church Stretton (Saturday only) or parking in the town for a stress free start to your day out. For more details of connecting trains and buses and recommended walks go to http://www.shropshirehillsshuttles.co.uk/
Please purchase your ticket from the driver when boarding – the bus now accepts contactless payment, as well as cash and concessionary bus cards. We also offer a season ticket to buy in advance which gives you unlimited travel on the Shuttle Buses. There is also a day rover ticket for unlimited travel that day. Well-behaved dogs can travel with their owner at the driver’s discretion.
