Adventure activities in the Shropshire Hills in Craven Arms

The rich and varied landscape of the Shropshire Hills makes the area the ideal adventurer's playground for a wide range of exciting outdoor adventure activities – whether on land, water or in the air.

Keeping your feet on the floor, the Shropshire Hills are great territory in which to safely enjoy walking at the tougher end of the spectrum, including Duke of Edinburgh expeditioning and endurance, and – with your feet a little higher – some of the best mountain bike routes and downhill courses.

There are some great, and sometimes slightly unexpected locations within the Shropshire Hills, in which to enjoy the increasingly popular fitness pastime of wild-swimming, while the Long Mynd is a superb place from which to become airborne, as it is home to the Midland Gliding Club – the highest, and one of the oldest, gliding clubs in the country.

You can even practise adventurous pursuits indoors – for example, the hills are home to an Olympic standard indoor archery range!

And there are a wide range of multi activity providers who provide everything from water sports to quad biking for groups and young people.
