Visit Shropshire Hills members, who are made up of holiday accommodations, inns and cafes and local tourism attractions, are delighted to be able to be able to support the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre Birthday BBQ and Nature Fun Day on 10th August 2024
For the past 10 years the team at Grow Cook Learn has been running the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre to help visitors connect with the wonderful landscape of the Shropshire Hills and have been a valuable partner for existing tourism businesses in the area.
The Discovery Centre offers everything a holidaymaker or local visitor needs in the Shropshire Hills; fun activities for families, brilliant walks and welcoming teas and lunches, plus plenty of information about the wonderful places to visit in the Shropshire Hills. And to top it all, the Discovery Centre activities are based on encouraging wildlife, caring for the environment and celebrating good local food.
Visit Shropshire Hills looks forward to continuing to work with the Discovery Centre to provide a wonderful resource for visitors to the beautiful Shropshire Hills.

Birthday BBQ and Nature Fun Day 10 August
Join us as we celebrate 10 years of running the Centre as a local charity.
Bring the whole family to enjoy inflatables, music and entertainment and face painting as well as kid’s activities and a delicious BBQ and Bar. Join in the species walks and surverys around the meadows to include pond dipping and the launch of our new wetland area, Squelch!
Our exhibition will be open for free for the weekend and a free talk on the history of the mammoth at 1.30pm.
