Relish the peace and tranquillity of the Clun Valley from Wren’s Nest. Ideally situated just a 5 minute walk from the heart of Clun, right on the Shropshire Way long distance footpath, and having private off street parking and valley views.
Walk or cycle hills and river valleys, meadows and ancient forests, see hillforts, nature reserves and visit quintessential villages. And when you’re done exploring, retreat to your cosy cottage with wood burning stove or one of the local pubs and cafes.
The space
From the parking space directly opposite the door you step up to the ground floor room which has a fitted kitchen with oven, sink, fridge/ freeze, toaster, kettle and the cooking and dining essentials for your self catering escape. There’s a spacious dining table with seating for two and a large sofa that’s plenty big enough to kick back and relax. The TV has an Amazon Firestick so you can access your Amazon Prime/ Netflix accounts. Most importantly there’s a wood burning stove to keep the cottage toasty warm during winter escapes.
Stairs lead up to the bedroom with a double bed, hanging rail, additional clothes storage and a full length mirror. A dressing table or desk along with good wifi speeds is there for those that need to check-in at the office. The small en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink.

We had a lovely stay at Wrens Nest. The location is very quiet and relaxing and Wrens Nest has all you need for a self catering holiday. Clun itself is just a 5 minute walk away and has shops and a couple of pubs. The Maltings cafe was great for breakfast and an afternoon tea. If you enjoy walking or biking then Wrens Nest is a great base. We played golf at the quirky Church Stretton golf course which has some interesting holes and stunning views. If you enjoy canoeing there are plenty of local places to hire what you need. With Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Hay on Wye all within an hours drive away, there are plenty of places to visit if you fancy using the car. Will definitely visit again. Thanks Gemma and Michael – we really enjoyed our stay 👍

We had a brilliant stay in the Wren’s Nest. We used it as a base while we were walking in the area and it was perfect. It had everything we needed and just a short walk into town for when we wanted a meal out. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful too. Highly recommended.
