Built in 1905 to house the parish vicar and later used as a retirement home, Helen, Ian and family have spent the last 18 months converting and renovating Mynd Court, and have added a large, one bedroom, self contained, comfortable, modern holiday home let.
The holiday home, though attached to the main house, has its own seperate entrance and parking area and is fully central heated, with a combi boiler for constant hot water. A warm lobby for boots, shoes and coats leads into a spacious sitting room with log burner, TV, DVD and sofa, which is specifically designed to easily convert into an additional double bed.
The bedroom contains a luxurious super king sized bed that can, if required, be easily prepared as two full size single beds. The bathroom has both a separate shower and bath. The sizeable kitchen is extremely well equipped with a fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, table with seating for four, and an iron and ironing board.
Outside, the accommodation enjoys an exclusive sun trap patio, with table, chairs, parasol and barbecue.Locked storage facility is available for bikes.
Mynd Court, though a haven of peace and tranquility, being nestled in the heart of the Lond Mynd and Shropshire Hills, is but a three minute walk to the town centre. Church Stretton is a lovely “stroll sized” town, with many speciality shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, bakers, a dèli for the picnic hamper, a Thursday market, many pubs and a wine bar. Three minutes walk in the opposite direction will take you to the notable tourist centre of Cardingmill Valley, the gateway to a walker’s and cyclist’s paradise.
