Things to do with the kids in the Shropshire Hills

Family holidays are the stuff of memories – pictures with the kids, watching them learn, seeing them grow year on year when you return to that favourite holiday spot.

The Shropshire Hills are great for families with both young and older children, with plenty of space to explore and play in safety. You can create your own fun and memories, with a picnic by the river, a brisk climb to a summit, a walk in the woods, or watching the gliders take off and land on the Long Mynd.

But it can be tough being a parent, thinking of something new to do each day to keep them all amused. The beauty of the Shropshire Hills and it’s various activities, both indoor and outdoor mean you should never find yourself short of ideas, with a wide choice of attractions and activities specifically geared to the family, whatever the weather.

You’ll find more information on museums in the Shropshire Hills here; find out about play parks in the area here, or look at our Events pages for child-friendly activities.

The area is a great playground too for larger family and work groups, enjoying that special birthday or anniversary.
