    • Why are there time slots?

All tickets for the 2021 event have a time slot – this is your arrival time. This is in place this year to spread visitors out throughout the day, to reduce crowding and queuing and to help keep everyone safe

    • Are there limited tickets?

Yes there are limited tickets per time slot, but the overall number for the event will be very similar to previous years

    • Can I come and go throughout the day?

Unlike in previous years, we are currently expecting that re-entry to the event won’t be possible to allow us to keep control of numbers. If we are able to change this closer to the date we will let all visitors know

    • Do I have to book in advance?

Yes, to guarantee entry to the event please book your tickets in advance online

    • Can I make a group booking?

    Yes! See more info below

    • Do you have tickets for people with disabilities?

As the castle has uneven ground and some inaccessible areas, visitors with disabilities are free of charge, and anyone accompanying them can buy a ticket at the normal price above. If you have a disability and would like to book a ticket please contact us here and we can process this for you. We recognise that not all disabilities are visible

    • What counts as a concession?

You can buy a concession ticket if you’re a student or if you’re over 65

    • How much are tickets?

You can find the full breakdown of the ticket prices here

    • What happens if the event is cancelled?

If the event cannot go ahead due to government guidance, full refunds or rollovers to next year’s event will be issued

    • What else are you doing to keep the event safe?

We are keeping a close eye on the situation as the pandemic evolves, and we will keep all visitors up to date with what to expect during their visit to make sure everyone is as safe as possible

    • Can I bring my dog with me?

Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome at the Fayre, though they’re not allowed into marquees and other areas where food is served. We also have a dog creche on-site (more info coming soon)
