Westhope Alpaca Experience offers you the chance to enjoy an amazing, unique and unforgettable alpaca walking experience in the glorious South Shropshire landscape.

This well-kept secret, situated in the beautiful scenic Westhope Valley, is a welcome extension of the family farm. Located just 5 miles from the A49 between the picturesque market towns of Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Ludlow, Westhope Alpaca Experience is a new and imaginative way of enjoying this area of outstanding natural beauty, already famed for the quality of its’ walking and outdoor pursuits.

You’ll get up close and personal with some beautiful and adorable animals on your experience. Feel their silky fleece and soothe away stress listening to their gentle humming. Once you’ve seen in to the eyes of these majestic creatures you will soon be hooked. You will have an experience to remember as you walk around the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Your experience will start with the formalities, a health and safety briefing, to ensure you can successfully lead your alpaca. You’ll pick up some helpful hints and interesting facts to amaze your friends before exploring the countryside with these unique animals. Before embarking you’ll get to know your alpaca and brush their fleece, who wants to be seen with a scruffy looking alpaca?

The experience will last between 1 ½ and 2 hours and take you around this beautiful countryside. You’ll take in the stunning views, rolling farmland, woods and valleys rich in wildlife and heritage following the tranquil woodland track back to the farm. You’ll also get the chance to stop off and meet our ladies. Eddie, Ceris, Boo and Pip who are all awaiting the arrival of what will be the first Westhope crias (baby alpacas), in 2019; an event we are all excited for.

Once your alpacas have been safely returned to their pens it’s time for a well earned rest.
