We are a small, friendly and unspoilt camp site near to the historic town of Ludlow.
The camping fields are large and there is plenty of space for you to camp away from your neighbours. If you are in a group you can all camp together and we have plenty of hook ups so tents and caravans can be together – perfect for those family or friends get-togethers around the camp fire.
Monstay is a traditional working farm set within the beautiful surroundings of the Mortimer Forest. From the camp site there is easy access to the forest, where you can walk, mountain bike, bird watch, nature watch or hunt for fossils.
The farm and forest are rich in wildlife whether birds, mammals, butterflies or reptiles are your interest and we can guide you in what there is to see… Or if you would rather, just relax and look at the fantastic views or the stars! It is very dark at night with no street lights nearby.

From the South:
Take the first turning to Ludlow from the A49. On arriving at the edge of the town turn left immediatley before a set of traffic lights over a river bridge. Signposted Burrington/Wigmore
From the North:
Take the first exit into Ludlow from the A49. Follow this road into the town and up to the top of a hill. At the traffic lights bear left downhill. At the next set of traffic lights by a stone river bridge turn left over the bridge and then immediately right, signposted Burrington/Wigmore.
Finding the Farm (From both North and South):
From the start of the Burrington/Wigmore Road, travel for 3 miles uphill. When the road begins to go down steeply watch out for a sign displaying ‘Vinnalls Car Park 200 yards’. Turn right into the farm entrance immediately opposite the Vinnalls car park. The farm track is less then 1/2 mile long. Please call at the farmhouse.
