  • Arden House – the perfect place to escape to the country to relax and unwind.

Arden House is a luxury retreat offering recently appointed self-catering apartments – all retaining the unique character and quality of this outstanding Arts & Crafts country house.

Standing at the gateway to Carding Mill Valley, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the Longmynd Hills – Arden House is only a short level walk from the centre of the market town of Church Stretton.

With far reaching views across the surrounding Shropshire Hills – Arden House has ample parking and is ideally situated for discovering the delights of Shropshire with the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Much Wenlock and the renowned food mecca of Ludlow all just 30 minutes away by car or even less by train.

The Arts and Crafts Movement was an innovative group of artists, writers and designers with a philosophy based on traditional values, high standards and attention to detail. Arden House owners Ian and Julie Price share these principles and offer guests a very warm welcome and are on-hand, if required, to offer advice on exploring the Shropshire Hills, local restaurants or finding those ‘hidden gems’.

All apartments have flat screen TVs with DVD players, quality furniture, soft furnishings and beds with luxury mattresses for the perfect night’s rest. Each well-appointed kitchen includes a hob/oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and ample crockery and utensils. Washing-up liquid, laundry tabs, clingfilm, tinfoil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar and milk are also provided, together with toiletries, luxury bedding, bath, hand and tea towels. Free WIFI with fast broadband connection is available in all apartments.
