Walkmill Lodge is a cosy cottage set within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a paradise for walkers – join footpaths close by, or drive a short distance to enjoy the stunning Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley, Stretton Hills and Stiperstones. (You can also wander just up the road to the village shop or the nearest pub!)
Church Stretton, Bishops Castle and its small, pretty neighbour Clun, are all a short drive away, and you’ll also find National Trust and English Heritage properties and gardens to explore.
After a day’s exploring, head back to the fully equipped dining kitchen, with oven and hob, microwave and slow cooker. Relax in the lounge, with its super HD SMART TV and woodburning stove. Sit and chat over a glass of wine in the courtyard or take in the last of the afternoon sun in the orchard.
There are two bedrooms – one double with ensuite shower and a second twin with ensuite rolltop bath. All bedlinen and towels are provided, together with Faith in Nature handwash and shower/bathfoam.
The nearest pub -and the small but perfectly formed village shop – are a ¼ mile away. Further pub another ¼ mile – The Crown at Wentnor, famous for its pies!
We’re happy to welcome one dog per stay – it’s a lovely part of the world for fresh air and dog walks 🙂
