  • Number 5 is a self catering holiday cottage in Bishop’s Castle, Shropshire, available all year round for short breaks and holidays. Bishops Castle is the ideal base for exploring the Shropshire Hills and Welsh Borders and is close to the market towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

    Number 5 is a middle terrace, one bedroom cottage located on a quiet, no through lane in the market town of Bishop’s Castle

    Living and Dining Area
    Downstairs has a comfortable living room with dining table, sofa, television,an assortment of board games, books and maps for your enjoyment.  Wireless internet access is included.
    The sofa bed can be used for an extra guest.

    The galley kitchen is modern and fully equipped with cooker, microwave, washer dryer and fridge freezer.

    Number 5 also benefits from having a private garden at the rear with small lawn and patio. The recently added conservatory is a good place to sit and relax all year round.

    The cottage has one double bedroom with walk in storage complete with iron, ironing board and hair dryer. There is enough room for a travel cot. Linen included

    The light and airy bathroom has a large deep bath with shower over, WC and hand basin with shaver point. Towels included.

    There is one parking space at the front of the cottage. Extra parking can be arranged if needed at Number 7, please request at time of booking.

    Please note
    Number 5 is a non smoking property and would not be suitable for any guest who cannot manage stairs. Pets are not accepted. Travel cot and High chair available.

    Other local attractions worth a visit include, Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Charles Darwin’s Birthplace in Shrewsbury and Shrewsbury Castle, BBC’s Victorian Farm at Acton Scott, Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Ludlow Castle and Powis Castle & Gardens.

    The town has a full annual calendar of events including the Bishop’s Castle Real Ale Festival, Bishop’s Castle Tandem Triathlon, The British Stone Skimming Championship, Bishop’s Castle Walking Festival,Bishop’s Castle Michaelmas Fair, Bishop’s Castle Arts Festival as well as Shrewsbury Flower Show, Ludlow Food and Medieval Fairs.
