Stokesay Castle has reviewed the visitor experience over the last couple of years with a new tearoom plus interpretation panels and a Giant’s riddle trail. Look out in 2019 for their final piece in designing a new contemporary garden layout.
Kerry Vale Vineyard have created a new fizzy red wine. Call in at their cafe to sample their wonderful range of wines – or to enjoy some lovely locally sourced food and a nice cuppa. Open Wednesday to Sunday through the season from mid-March
300 years of The Castle Hotel, Bishops Castle. Celebrations to mark this milestone. Interesting facts: Clive of India once owned the hotel while elephants were kept in the castle grounds during the Second World War!
Welcome to Ludlow Farmshop – the revamped Ludlow Food Centre. All the artisan areas have been opened up for viewing so it is possible to see the workers making lovely cheese, jams, bread, butchery etc
Ludlow Food Festival 25th Anniversary. It’s 25 years since the first food festival in the UK was setup and it is still going stronger than ever. With this milestone to mark, keep the relevant dates in your diary –

- Ludlow Food Festival 13, 14 , 15 September (including winners of Shropshire Cream Tea presentation on 13th)
The 11th Century Round Chapel at Ludlow Castle is being re-roofed. This is a historic chapel with links to the Knights Templar and will be well worth a visit. Not only will it provide a dry event space it will also preserve the building.
Church Stretton now has a trail which explores the history behind the buildings using an app from GeoTourist as part of their Epic England trails.
